The GATE 2018 score will be computed using the formula given below.
(M − Mq) GATE Score = Sq + (St − Sq) (M̅ t − Mq)

M: marks obtained by the candidate (actual marks for single session papers and normalized marks for multi-session papers)
Mq: is the qualifying marks for general category candidate in the paper
M̅ t: is the mean of marks of top 0.1% or top 10 (whichever is larger) of the candidates who appeared in the paper (in case of multi-session papers including all sessions)
Sq: 350, is the score assigned to Mq
St: 900, is the score assigned to M̅ t
In the GATE 2018 the qualifying marks (Mq) for general category student in each subject will be 25 marks (out of 100) or μ + σ, whichever is larger. Here μ is the mean and σ is the standard deviation of marks of all the candidates who appeared in the paper

The Admit Card for GATE 2018 will be available ONLY on GOAPS website. A candidate has to download his/her Admit Card from this website. The Admit Card would be available for download, tentatively from 5th January 2018.

Note that the Admit Cards will NOT be sent to the candidates by post/e-mail.

After the declaration of results, the qualified candidates can download their GATE 2018 Scorecards (for the paper which candidates have taken the examination). The GATE 2018 scorecards can be downloaded between 20 March 2018 to 31 May 2018 from the GOAPS portal.
